Leggett & Platt #3230 5-Inch High Heavy Duty Swivel Rocker with Triple Spring Suspension Review

The product came with holes on three sides of the box and one open side. This is a heavy and clumsy contraption (with legs sticking out in all directions). You would have guessed that the shipper wouldn't put it unprotected in a relatively light cardboard box! I was shocked to see this and even more surprised that the item was undamaged even after this trip.

Delivered quickly and as described (the box was damaged but the base was not damaged). The asking price was lowered to reflect the damaged box, so it was a good deal (about $55 shipping). Installation was a direct replacement with (4) original screws (screws were not included with the base). The swivel and rocking functions work well. Hard to judge durability after only 1 week. Looks solid. chair saved. Very happy.

This product saved me a lot of money! I used this on the bottom of an IKEA Tullsta chair to convert it from a regular chair to a swivel rocking chair. Every other red turn rocker I could find cost at least $450. Using the IKEA Tullsta chair hack, I paid $169 for the chair and about $65 for this product. I actually got 2 chairs for only $470. My mother-in-law's chair had a similar base which broke after over 50 years of use. The cost of replacing the base was less than I expected. The new base is just as well made as the old one and the mounting holes are precisely matched! So far it works very well. A nice feature is that there are three mounting holes in each corner so you can move it forward/back for adjustment without having to drill new holes. This is in addition to adjusting the spring, which is also handy.
