Very good results every time.

I have used this on catalyzed acrylic paints (2 pack) and cleaners to add shine after using polishing paste. It's easy to work with and doesn't take much. I used most of the bottle to cover the van. Finish with 3M Swirl Remover, then apply 3M Hand Stain and the result will look better than most factory finishes.

Pros
  • Exterior Care
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Makes car paint smooth again

I use Finesse-it to paint my car the same way I use a clay stick; This will make the paint smooth and ready for a few coats of wax. It is easy to apply and easy to wipe off too. I find this to be less work than a clay bar but with the same results (if using a machine). I wouldn't buy this product if you plan to apply it by hand, a clay bar or wax cleaner works much better.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Works great on composite kayaks

Used to polish a composite kayak floor after a gelcoat repair. works great to get a nice base shine. I used 1000 wet grit before... probably should have done 2000 wet grit but I just had to. After buffing with Buffer SLOW Speed, 2 coats of PTEF beginner polish (which is actually a sealer) were applied for the next step to add shine and protect the gelcoat from the elements. Super sleek/smooth bottom now. I think it's maintenance once a year.

Good finish

I've been using the 3m's for a few years now. I work with computer mods and the end quality of these projects approaches that of a car showroom. I mostly used 3m Perfect it polishing paste and then polished. What I missed in between was the finish line-up. This material meets all the requirements. I would call this the second phase of preparing the products for the final depilation. This is a thin cut that is great for grooming fritters. Then I would use a wax cleaner/prep. Meguiar's has a deep
