For the most part, this kit is great. I just saw whitewashed pink in the color description and didn't expect cats. Not my favorite but not a big deal. The larger hooks feel nice and I haven't had issues with them. However, the smaller hooks are not smooth and catch on the thread/yarn when using them. Really wish those were better quality. I bought these about 5 months ago when I decided to teach myself to crochet. After only a few projects and well under 100 hours of use, I found myself having to push the hook back into the plastic handle part. I would say overall the hooks would get a 1 star because of their lack of durability, but the accessories and carrying case are nice and bump up the rating as you can use them for better quality hooks.

My biggest pro for this product is that it is a good case to keep all my notions and hooks, but i feel that over time I will replace most if its contents. This was the first kit I bought to start crocheting and I love having it. The silicone handles do start to slip sometimes and the printed labels start to rub off, but ot also has the labels imprinted and you can push the handles back in place. The shape is great and the material is very comfortable. Its has lots of little bits that are helpful to have starting out.

This is a great set of hooks for the price. The handgrips are comfortable and much easier to use for extended periods of time than plastic or plain aluminum hooks are. This is a very nice set. The hooks work great. Since I got this set these books are the only ones I use unless I need a bigger hook . The only issue I find with this is the little pocket not the mesh one but the zipper on that little pocket doesn't always work and when you zip it up the zipper won't close and it will stay open.
