Easily check thread sizes for the most common thread sizes found in automotive braking systems. Check thread sizes for: 1/8" NPTF, 1/4" NPTF, 3/8" x 24, 7/16" x 20, 7/16" x 24, 1/2" x 20, 9/16" x 18, 9/16" x 20, 5/8" x 16. Each size has a male and female end checker. Thread sizes are clearly and permanently stamped innto each gauge. Assembled onto a plastic coated wire loop for hanging in convenient locations throughout the shop or garage.

Choose the right thread

Choosing the right fitting is very important when making brake lines, this tool and its opposite will make the right thread the first time

The lettering painted on the engraving is worn out

Has enough play in the line that looks like it could be threaded into the car without any problems. I'm going to use a painter's pen to touch up the color in the embossed size marks.

Definitely handy to have around

I'm not very good at sizing some nuts and bolts especially the thread count so I bought this to help myself and it definitely helped now I can go to the store and this order what i want well i'm sure if a guy takes a boat and says it's that size now i can tell him what size i need then i feel better but now i can tell the difference recognize

as described - tools and equipment

Exactly what I wanted but very difficult to try on and fit to the frame mounted fittings whilst on the cable, difficult to explain. but it would be much easier without using the cable. And no, I didn't cut the cable because I like the idea of having them all in the same place, so I'm not sure what the solution is. I'm sure someone will come up with a very simple idea. But happy with the purchase.

Could be a good set with some improvements. Mine was missing

I bought other "4 Lifetime Lines" products and was happy with them. made but I believe mine was assembled at the end or beginning of the work week. I have (2) caliber 7/16-20, I'm missing 3/8-24 (the one I use the most). Ok, mistakes happen. So I tried different (more than one) 1/8 NPT, and these gauges have 1/4 NPT connections. No bueno. You might get 1 thread and it sticks, the NPT thread size is bad/useless. I've tried every other fit, 7/16-20, 7/16-24, 1/2-20, 9/16-18, 9/16-20, 5/8-18 and…
