Wrong Application on my review.

I looked the part up by my Engine serial Number /Year and Size .The hose connection on this part was 1/4 of an inch .My motor has a 5/16 connection on the hose. The application chart was wrong

First unit purchased arrived damaged, replacement unit was defective.

The first unit I received was damaged when it arrived. The seller was good about sending a replacement. The second unit arrived and was installed. Unfortunately the bowl drain would not seal and leaked and allowed air into the fuel line causing it to constantly lose its prime and the engine repeatedly shut down (fuel starvation). There was no way to see that the seal was defective until after filter was installed and fuel run through it. I had to cob together parts form an old unit to make it…

  • Started leaking where the clear plastic met the filter after 2 months. Spend more and buy a better one.

Won’t resea - my new review

After installing a week went by and I noticed trash had collected in it so I threaded the cup off to dump it. After dumping and carefully threading back on it will not hold a seal. No it did not cross thread and no parts fell out while performing actions

Cannot change filter

It is not humanly possible to separate the filter from the base and the bowl. It is screwed together so tightly that u will NEVER be able to take it apart.

Good product, Better Company to Deal With

The filter/sep functioned as expected for a while, until I ran into an issue with the plastic bowl. I contacted the company(with pics) and they are honoring their warranty and a replacement is being sent out. Prompt customer service!

  • The product may rust or corrode over time, reducing its lifespan

Plastic is not gasoline resistant!

Plastic bowl cracked shortly after filling it with gas. Poor quality and not designed for gasoline i guess. Thanks for attention!

Great price ! The filter alone is $70 , & Bowl is $58 at the local marina's ! Removes all the water from my fuel system. no longer have fuel problems !

Came in cross threaded

Came in crossthreaded let’s too much air because of it but who would of known it’s $10 versus Yamaha $50. You pay for what you get buy from someone else so you don’t get stranded like me

Defective Product and mis-representation of product.

This product is completely mis-represented by the description. It says it is for outboard motors but details says it is for diesel fuel. No outboard motors use diesel fuel. After being installed for just 2 days, the o-ring gasket for the drain valve deteriorated causing loss of engine and spilling fuel all in my boat.

Piece of crap in my review

This was the worst item I've ever purchased. The bottom of the water seperator absolutely come loose and would not seal or tighten during a BASS Tournament on the Chowan River in NC. I had to completely disconnect the filter and splice the fuel hoses together on the water. What a piece of crap, do not waste your time or money.
