Perfect replacement for my Maytag 2000 series. The whole replacement project took 2 hours but mostly due to the tightness of my laundry room. OMG, this could be an adventure in itself. A little planning ahead will help ease that pain! You have to disassemble the dryer from the back, so it takes up a lot of space. Installation is troublesome, you have to disassemble half of the hair dryer. The element itself was bent in the box, I straightened it and it fits. Only one of the sensors fits my Whirlpool Duet dryer. One sensor proved good but the OEM part has an extra connector that obviously goes to the control board, the secondary sensor didn't have that extra connector, Sony didn't use it and kept the old OEM connector.
