Great Two Cycle Oil

Great product for all 2-stroke applications. Useful when breaking in and changing to synthetic oil. Always had good luck with that.

Pros
  • Special additives clean and prevent engine deposits to maintain engine performance and life.
Cons

Lawnboy Oil is suitable for 2-stroke engines Oil

This is a Lawnboy oil, not an all-purpose oil. We have a lawn mower that is over 25 years old. Like new and I believe this is because we have always used the recommended Lawnboy oil. Hard to find. Happy for this site.

Pros
  • Unique formula allows for easy mixing regardless of temperature conditions.
Cons
  • fade

1972 Outdoor Power Tools Lawnmower

This oil helps me get the job done. I bought a well used 1972 Lawnboy for $50 at a garage sale in 1995. I used it every week of the growing season here in Indiana. It still starts on the first pull and purrs like a kitten. I've always used Lawn Boy Oil. Probably the best $50 I've ever spent.

Pros
  • Not CARB compliant/Not for sale in California
Cons
  • Not the best

I have not tried it on my 2000 Toro commercial mower.

My Toro commercial lawnmower has a Suzuki 2-stroke engine. I've used Royal Purple, Amsoil and Echo two-stroke oil. I bought this oil because I have owned Lawn-Boys in the past and have only used Lawn-Boy 2-Stroke Oil. Never had a problem. Now that I've bought this oil, I'm not sure I should trust my expensive Suzuki engine with this oil? I gave it 5 stars because I know my lawn mowers love this oil. Glad it's still available.

Pros
  • The all-in-one formula contains a fuel stabilizer to extend fuel life and make starting easier.
Cons
  • Minor problems

Looking for 32:1 and found it on Revain of Course

So I grabbed an old (90's?) running cheap Craigslist Ryobi trimmer for the summer. Manual mode requires a 32:1 ratio, which is almost unavailable in a pre-measured bottle these days. I've read that modern two-stroke oils are so good that you can run 40:1 in an old Wacker and it'll be fine. But I don't feel like testing the theory under real conditions yet. Put this bottle of Lawn Boy 89932 in a gallon of non-ethanol gas and it just seems to buzz. Ordered Thursday, arrived Saturday. The yardโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Engineered to withstand the higher operating temperatures of today's 2-stroke engines.
Cons
  • Availability for exchange
