I was skeptical when I purchased this engine timing tool, but after using it on my vehicle, I am thoroughly impressed. Based on my experience, it worked flawlessly and saved me a significant amount of time compared to attempting to time the engine by hand. The tool is also well-constructed and seems durable. The only downside is that the instructions were a bit confusing at first, but I was able to figure it out with some trial and error.

The flat area on the camshafts is 30.41 mm, the tool is 29.82 mm. It took a bit of registration to get this working. Also, simply discard the included screws to hold it in place. These are cheap cast thread screws that take away the holes in the valve cover that they thread into. Purchase some 6mm x 1.0 hex head screws from a trusted source and use them instead. Good price, more expensive is not better.

Frustrating. It's supposed to be a precision instrument, but it's not true. The larger of the two dowel pins was poorly machined. The shoulder of the larger diameter part expanded slightly, preventing the pin from entering the hole in the body. A similar problem prevented the thinner section from engaging the flywheel.
