No more holding the gas bottle for 10 minutes, rim slipping etc.

Took a little time to evacuate properly but then was great. More would be faster, but I'm retired. I don't have the time, I just don't have the strength or patience to keep a 5 gallon can aloft while balancing on the rim of a tractor tank.

Hose too short, fine, otherwise

hose was too short. I added a fitting and another 8'1/2" ID hose. The pump runs. Upon inspection I was skeptical. Was up very quickly, I kept pumping until the siphon started.

Would be better with check valve

Overall I'm happy with the siphon hose, especially after adding the $3.12 Home Depot built in check valve. I'm retired and started to find it hard to hold a full 5 gallon can of gas when I was filling up my lawn mower. So I placed the gas canister on the mower's seat, started the siphon and watched the fuel level rise in the gas tank. However, after spilling fuel all over the tank, I found there was enough fuel left in the hose to cause an accident before I could damage the siphon. Installing a
