ABN Disc Brake Pad Distributor

The tool worked as advertised. I've used it on single-piston rear brakes and two-piston front brakes. I had no problems with either type. With the exception of the handle, this tool is all metal, eliminating the use of plastic in the moving parts.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Repair

Works as intended in brake tool

This is used to compress the piston on the caliper when working on the brakes. The tool worked well and faster than the C clamp. The material is a bit cheap, but so is the price. A do-it-yourselfer should last a few years, but it's probably not meant for everyday use by full-time mechanics.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Secret

Suitable for brake tools

Best value for money. does his job. On my Accord I had to use a couple of washers as the bolt didn't seem long enough to fully compress the brake (I don't know the name of the part on the caliper that presses against the pad). On the Civic it worked without the extra shims at the end. never mind. No pucks? Use multiple coins. The materials don't feel premium, but they don't feel like they can't handle what they were designed for. I would buy it again while it's in my tool box until next time.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Nothing here

QUALITY Torx wrenches on tools and hardware

I purchased this T45 only Torx allen wrench set that I needed to repair the brakes on my 2003 Mercedes CLK320. I've seen pictures of key snaps on other wrench sets so I took a chance as none of the reviews seemed to mention key snaps. My calipers were very tight and I had to work hard to loosen the bolts, but the Maxpower T45 held up great. The key didn't feel like it would flex or flex under all the force I put on it to release and re-tighten the brakes. After work I used the T50 to tightenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Communication with seller
