Will do: Brake Flare Tools

I used this to make brake lines on my truck. Use nickel-copper tubing, anything harder will only make the job harder. The pipe likes to slip through the clamp, so you'll have to tighten the wing nuts with a screwdriver or something. The tool requires some effort, so be sure to use a softer hose. Overall it works and I haven't crashed yet so I'll call it a win.

Pros
  • Great for a Small House
Cons
  • Small Repairability

Works well, cheap, I'm satisfied

Bought this metric fitting brake line flare kit to install the brake valve on Miata. The tool worked well - I only had to repeat one flash out of four, which I thought was fine. It's a little fiddly to use, especially on a brake line attached to a car, but I don't think that's really the tool's fault. As mentioned in other reviews, this set does not include a pipe cutter and you definitely need one to make square cuts. I bought the "ABN Mini Pipe and Tube Cutter" and it goes perfectly with this

Garbage. garbage collection.

terrible workmanship. I'd be ok with some damage to the pipe or rough/sharp edges, but for holes drilled at an angle, that's overkill! I was under the impression that I was doing something wrong until I realized the clamp holes were drilled at an angle (look at 3/16 and you'll see what I mean). I ended up spending some money on the right kit, which all at once flared the pipe perfectly. The bone also crumbled after three tries. The kit is fine as long as you make a single flare or whatever you…

I'm serious. in Brake Tools

There's nothing like buying flare kits, finding a duplicate flare kit out of the bunch and paying more for that kit, only to find out it's the only kit is that does not include a cord cutter. Of course I understand that there is no cutter in the picture. but somehow in a hodgepodge of all sorts of different sets, I didn't notice. That's right, which wood set doesn't come with a router? The rest is a normal sentence. It's bloody hard to get any part of the vise to hold the leash without leaving…

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Very Expensive
