Very good and easy to fit replacement

The original broke when fitted. Ordered this a few minutes after the installation was complete. Fits very well as it should be. Guys and gals if you need a dipstick tube this is it!

Pros
  • handy piece
Cons
  • doubtful

It's part of GM. Therefore it fits.

The idiot who, among other things, handled the LS engine in my 36 Buick Model 48 Resto mod didn't put the dipstick back in. This is the perfect replacement. I'm glad this is a real part of GM.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Modernity

Right for the job 2007 5.3 motorcycle truck.

Throw away the old device if you can. Ours was broken and in the wrong place so it hurt at first. Crap spot welded like a factory part so I'll probably have to replace it again.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Having problems

Perfect fit: dipsticks and hoses

Perfect replacement oil hose for my 2007 5.3L Chevy Silverado. The installation is a bit difficult. Here's a tip: Locate the fork slider and the hole it goes in in the oil pan before removing the old one, as it's not easy to see or find. I found it easiest to lift the truck up and crawl under it to thread the new fork tube back into the oil pan hole after pushing it through the exhaust manifold.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Precise fit. needs to be replaced if you are replacing the exhaust manifold

Exact fit for 2002 5.3 liter Yukon. Supplied without oil dipstick, so keep the old one and replace the o-ring. Patience in removing this part is key, once you click it at the base you will remove the oil pan. If you have rust, it's quite difficult to remove. I recommend lots of penetrating oil and give it enough time to soak with a little wiggling and tugging. much luck.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Boring packaging

NOTE: Remove the 2nd spark plug from the front cap.

Remove 15mm mounting screw. Place the old dipstick tube in a vise. Twist back and forth to release, then pull. Carefully remove the spark plug cap from the second spark plug from the front (passenger side). Climb up to the engine and look straight through the trunk you just removed. You will see a small hole in the engine block about 15cm below the spark plug where you will insert the new hose. Hope this helps someone

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Absolute rubbish! fits spares

Bought this AC Delco part for my Chevy 6.0, not an aftermarket brand. After finally removing the old rotten hose, which was a chore, the new hose didn't go into the hole in the block. I cleaned the hole with a wire brush and greased the new tube. During installation, the tube broke in half just above the o-ring. Went to the local parts store and bought a Dorman brand. I lubricated it and everything was fine. My advice: buy Dorman, not AC Delco!

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • poorly thought out

50/50 on this dipstick tube

So it's a top notch replacement so I can really say. It's not flashy, it's not pretty, but it works. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because it was in the original packaging but appears to have been opened and sent back (although I did buy a new one). It's also slightly bent where it enters the block, this shouldn't affect the installation but is still an imperfection. It also CLEARLY shows that the O-ring is included and it's not clear what's missing. Luckily I have a lot of O-rings so I

  • Hands free operation
