Description of ๐Ÿ”‘ Explore the Efficiency of the GM Genuine Parts 20869056 3 Button Keyless Entry Remote Key Fob

3 button: lock, unlock, and panic. Brand new OE replacement; the GM recommended replacement for your original keyless entry remote. Battery included with the remote. This remote may be able to be programmed without a technician, but certain vehicles still require that you take it in to a GM dealer or ACDelco service center to be programmed. Check attached instructions to see if there is do it yourself programming for your vehicle.

Anti-theft OEM quality

As described, OEM quality. I printed out the instructions for programming a new remote and was done in minutes. A bit pricey for a piece of plastic with a battery but perfect for my needs.

Cons
  • Zero

Works great but needs dealer support.

I've had the fob for a few weeks and it appears to be genuine GM and works very well. I have a 2008 GMC Serria STL that was built in 2007. I actually had to ask the dealer to scan the key fob into the truck's computer. This was done for me free of charge. 10 minutes work. However, it can cost upwards of $50 at some GM dealerships.

Pros
  • New OE Replacement; GM recommended a replacement for your original keyless remote
Cons
  • Almost OK

Works perfectly on my 2013 Chevy Truck.

Works as it should. The only downside is that only a Chevy dealership can program the key fob for 2013 and later Silverados. This is not a reflection on the remote control fob. The good news is that since I just bought the truck from the dealer, the sales department covered the programming costs. Yes Chevy Freedom.

Pros
  • Battery included with remote control
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Works great for my 2011 Silverado!

Not many reviews here, the Chevy dealer had to program it for my 2011 Silverado which seems like a waste of $60 (I recommend using two remotes since you're already paying $60). Works great, super responsive and quick compared to my last car and remote combo. I see a lot of reviewers talking about distance, I can't speak to that. I usually unlock my car when I'm in the same parking lot as mine. I have not yet found it necessary to unlock it from a 7 story building hanging upside down 2 blocksโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This remote can be programmed without a technician, but on some vehicles you will still need to take it to a GM dealer or ACDelco Service Center for programming. Please refer to the attached manual to see if self-programming is possible for your vehicle.
Cons
  • Clarity
