Description of Remanufactured ACDelco Gold 334-2114 Alternator

Remanufactured using consistent quality processes; not just rebuilt. Voltage: 12 VDC. Alternators use high-quality bearings with high-temp lubricant and double-lipped rubber seals, reducing friction, vibration, and noise. Rotors and stators are electronically tested and then sealed with a secondary insulating coating to help prevent shorts.

One-wire GM Alternor

I ordered this alternator to replace my Bob Cat as it is a 1-wire GM and it seems to match the old one. After installing it had no outlet, stuck in a thermal battery, and then I saw 2 connectors at the 9 o'clock position. I received a generator not with 1 wire but with 3 wires. If you look closely at the back image on the website you can see the terminals at 9am.

CUT THE CORNERS ON RECOVERY. Barely "restored "

They claim to be "restored", not just refurbished, but I don't even know if they're fully restored. I have not even run this generator and you can see that only one of the brushes was replaced when they "rebuilt" the generator. I think replacing 2 whole brushes was asking too much. It looks like some of the corners were cut off during the restoration. If they've discounted something that cheap, I wonder where else did they do a poor restoration job?

Easy to install at a good price.

This old farm tractor from the 1950s makes working really fun. This tractor was converted from a 6 volt system to a 12 volt system using mostly used General Motors products. The parts I had to replace were the coil, starter, alternator and other small parts. All these parts work well from the moment of instillation until now. This makes me (to my knowledge) a 76 year old mature Jewish farmer with no agricultural skills in Pulaski County, Missouri who owns a tractor who --- if he were a…

Bought as a replacement.

I took it as a backup generator for a long trip. Looks good. For those interested, it was redesigned in China. This is a 9 hour configuration out of the box. I needed 12 hours for my application. Since this was more attractively priced compared to the 12-hour repair device and had Prime shipping, I bought it. East to count the hours. Take a 5/16 head and remove the four mounting screws. Dismantle the case and reset the clock if necessary. Be sure to insert a straightened paper clip into the…

So far so good, the alternator appears to be well made

I've had great luck with AC Delco parts. This alternator is perfect for my 1981 Jeep CJ7 with the 360 from a full size 1982 Jeep. Correct clock oscillator, nicely restored oscillator. The price is reasonable, the pulley is new, not stamped like the old one. The fan fins are not bent, the box is crumpled, but packed in bubble wrap. Installed with no problems, started the car and charged at 14+ volts as expected. Can't comment on longevity as I've repaired the car and haven't driven it much yet…

A 3-wire device can be configured as a 1-wire device as described below.

To configure as 1-wire, connect the output connector to the right connector (facing the back of the device with the connector pair facing up). The left connection for the fault lamp can be ignored unless the rotor has been completely degaussed. In this case you will need to flash this terminal with 12 volts or connect the fault lamp to the switch side of the ignition switch: this will also be flashed. Note that connecting the test lead directly to the battery compensates for the voltage drop in
