Great price too - switches and relays

I have a shift lock message on my display, intermittent check engine light on, gear lights off and my 2004 GMC Duramax pickup on. The transmission eventually went into safe mode, abruptly shifting from park to drive and only seemed to work in 2nd gear. Installed the part and all problems are fixed. Also great price.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Long delivery time

easy to install for switches

Perfect fit, easy to install. It took about 30 minutes from start to finish. Use a heat gun to heat the grout while removing the old one. Has helped a lot. Don't be afraid to use a hammer and a flathead screwdriver to break the body of the old one up to pry the wires out. Just crack the case, no plugs.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good but not great

4x4 is not a quick and easy switch.

You watch the youtube video, it seems simple enough until you realize the front drive shaft gets in the way on a 4x4. Removing the drive shaft isn't difficult, but it was a different task that I didn't plan on doing. Good product, worked well to get rid of range blocking issues.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Tape

Shift Lock Indicator

Comes in an Allison OEM box. It turned out that the problem was not in the ignition switch. They've been known to fail, but apparently the ignition switch can cause a voltage drop across the transmission solenoid. After replacing the switch, the shift lock light went out and the carts work normally. 03 Duramax with 5G Allison.

Pros
  • Solid Finish
Cons
  • Blank

It started when I lost the transmit notification light. However, I could see the PNRD321, but I couldn't see which one I actually switched. Then my door locks stopped working when I turned off the transmission. Then the service engine light came on with codes PO708 and PO700. Changed NAS, cleared codes and my problem was solved! My local auto parts store (not even NAPA :) wanted the price here to be double the price and the 1 day delivery from Revain Prime (Revain actually took 2) is a tough…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Clarity

quick and easy on switches and relays

My transmission was showing numerous codes on my Allison transmission. went into limp mode and stayed in 3rd gear, shift light flashed and wouldn't come on in park, and rattled when going into reverse, sometimes wouldn't turn on at all before spending thousands of dollars on this part from Amazon it is a factory spare, and the GM stock is about 300.00 and it's not hard to replace. If you bring it to the store, it doesn't take 1 hour to exchange it. Got it and a new one in less than 30 minutes…

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • hard to see

Relatively easy to install but expensive

NSBU is relatively easy to install. The hardest part is removing the connectors, which are held in place with some sort of non-hardening substance to protect the metal connectors from moisture, which makes sense. If you apply a steady, slow but strong pull, it will slowly slip off. Do not use a screwdriver or similar tool to cut. The substance inside is very flexible and the impact action can damage the connectors as the connector bounces and then rebounds. Therefore, a strong, steady, and slow

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
