Very hot, very tight fit, doesn't quite fit. I was trying to copy a 7GB file from an M1 MacBook, it took about 15 minutes when connected to a USB 3.0 flash drive. also leaves deep grooves on metal flash drives.

I bought these because Apple's USB adapter is bulky and it contrasts with my MacBook Space Gray. The Apple adapter also causes whatever I connect to hang sideways when my computer is booted up. I love the small size and the high quality of the color and design! When you consider that you can get 2 adapters for less than the price of an Apple adapter, skip all Apple adapters and just buy them.

Most USB-C connectors are standard width. This means that they fit easily into most openings in the case. This USB-C end from Anker has a nice, solid, regular USB-C connector, but the housing it's in is much wider than a regular USB-C connector, so if you're using a housing or a If you have a thin spot, you'll need to connect (e.g. on your smartphone or tablet), while most standard USBC connectors will fit, this may not be the case.

These little adapters come in handy when you want to cost-effectively connect multiple USB devices to your 2018 Mac Mini. Note, however, that they cannot occupy two adjacent Thunderbolt ports.
