I have noted previous reviews where I have complained about cable/connector stiffness. I haven't noticed any problems like this. However, I am a bit disappointed with the port coverage. I bought this external hard drive to back up my important files and specifically chose it because it needs to be shockproof, dustproof, etc. I travel a lot, so these qualities are important to me. However, after one flight it stopped working. I can't format it or do anything. So it's basically a very expensive pulp. Part of the problem is that the software that runs on the hard drive is internal, meaning it resides on an external hard drive and wasn't downloaded to run on my computer like I had
