I used this to close the glass in 2 doors of my pantry. I put my spices on the 2nd shelf and wanted to turn off the light to save my spices. The 3rd shelf below was only 12 inches lower so I added a 2nd layer on top and bottom to keep even more light out. I just put a small strip of clear tape on any corners that came loose to make sure they adhered. Works great and I've had compliments on it.

That's good. There isn't much to see on the front door, when I put it on we can easily see, so I had to put the other side on as well. And now. No body can see through. it looks good. It doesn't have a mirror effect like transparent icing film. But when the light is reflected, it looks good. If you don't care about disappearing completely, you can take that, but if you only do one side, you can still stand out. And the tint is very noticeable. .

so if you are using it on a conventional window i would give it more than 5 stars the only reason for 4 stars was because there actually isn't any glue, really just static gluing, which works well when gravity isn't taking over, which was the case when I tried to use this to hide the fact that the two skylights on my porch were white and foggy. However, with a little more effort I was able to get it working and it still holds up.

This product is a very economical and easy to install way of keeping a room dark during the day. My son works nights and sleeping during the day really helps him. This is a great solution as it never requires natural light in their bedroom, but for someone who wants that option this hook wouldn't be the best as it's not really designed to be repeated repeatedly. Take it off and put it back on. But for us it was a great solution without having to spend a lot of money.

It worked better in my head than it did in real life.
