Not Heavy Duty - Sewing Supplies and Consumables

The buckles are very light and flimsy compared to the one I was trying to replace. They work but not if you need a buckle to hold them like a dog harness. The strap is all nylon - a bit stiff like nylon straps.

Pros
  • even the old fashioned can understand
Cons
  • Available in white only

Happy with the purchase, good price.

I bought 3/4" webbing and 5 buckles. I just want to make some straps for my hiking pants. They aren't the strongest I've seen but for my purposes they're good enough and I can make 5 straps for a good price Happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Purity

Not Enough Information - Buckles

Although the buckle was 3/4" wide, it was not long enough or strong enough to fit a collar for a dog that needs more control. Not enough information was provided to allow the buyer to make an informed decision about the purchase of this set.The buckles don't work for me and not as expected.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Secret

Worked well to keep the strap in place but easy to loosen when needed

Worked well to keep the strap in place but easy to loosen when needed for the windshield cover of my car. I bought it to be able to attach it to a doorknob. I have used these buckles on a strap and now it holds up well but if I need to take it off I can just undo the buckle

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • Neutral

Exactly as advertised - strong and durable

Arrived early - packaged well with good strong buckles, cut strap to size, heat cut ends to prevent loosening, clipped into buckles, snapped in place and done. I used them to create two straps to attach 35" snowshoes to my wilderness backpack - they need to be strong and reliable - they live up to those standards.

Pros
  • Material Type: Heavy duty plastic buckles and durable PP webbing make your DIY items perfect and durable.
Cons
  • Poor

More Than One Continuous Strap

The product itself is beautiful in both form and function. I was disappointed that the webbing didn't come as one long, continuous strap, but rather as 2 main pieces fused together with a 2.75" piece in between. The strap I received is as follows: 141.5 inch webbing connected to 2.75 inch webbing connected to 33.5 inch webbing total 177.75 inches. This measurement does not even match the full 15 feet (5 yards) of advertised webbing, even with the parts fused.

Pros
  • Size: Plastic buckles and webbing are 3/4 inch size for DIY luggage straps, pet collars, backpack repairs.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Fraying and Unraveling

is a great product except for one thing. If you are cutting straps to custom lengths, you will need to do something to stabilize the cut ends. If not melted, glued or glued, the cut ends will fluff and unravel within a few days. there should be something in the package for that, or at least what it needs to do and how to do it. I like to melt the cut ends over an open flame. Dangerous, be careful not to burn the tape, enough heat to melt and stabilize.

Pros
  • Warm Note: You must use a lighter to burn off the rough edges of the webbing after using the webbing.
Cons
  • Very Expensive
