I like these heating pads. I bought a few and then 3 more :) I use these for my litters of puppies and set them up at around 85 degrees for 12 hours. I really like how you can set the temperature and the number of hours. They were consistent and came with a zip lid. The heating pads I bought a few years ago didn't come with covers and I had to unscrew a few pillowcases that kept falling off.

This heating pad works perfectly. But I should have read more about it as it has a timer so you have to set the timer all the time which is a problem. Yes, the timer is a good idea, but we have a few ex-feral kittens who prefer to be outside and sleep in our garage. I always want to leave the seal in during the winter. When I go into the garage, especially at night, I find that the kittens sleep on a heating pad to keep them warm and toasty.

One of my cats is 15 years old and although she is quite active for her age she is definitely slowing down. When it gets cold, she also feels entitled to sit on my lap. I usually have no problem watching Tee Vee or playing video games. I also work from home on my laptop, and having a giant pumpkin on my lap can affect performance. Bought. Problem solved. She loves it. This morning she was purring just laying on top of him. I love the temperature control and the timer.

If you are expecting a really warm, comfortable rug, DO NOT buy this one. It's super thin and not soft at all. The case is very thin and cheap. The heat is ridiculous, I use it on the covered patio for our cats and even on the highest setting (130) it barely gets warm. Cats mostly ignore this. Also, it turns off automatically, which is very inconvenient. It seems like it's pretty durable, but that's a moot point if it doesn't perform well. Don't waste your money on this rug.
