I hate most soap dishes, there is a puddle that collects under the soap bar and I was hoping this would prevent this problem. However, the angle is not enough to allow water to flow out of the spout. However, I like that the silicone is durable and doesn't slip on my counters.

In short, they only drain when you have a lot of water. The fact is that they should be raised at the back. Also, the small plastic protrusions are too wide and not spaced enough apart. Once the bar is less than halfway down, it stays in the liquid. The only plus I found: easy to clean. Definitely not worth the money IMO.

If they were a centimeter narrower in length and depth with a narrower water outlet, they would be perfect and would get five stars. We use soap with a dial and dove and do not need such a large length and width. A more serious problem is that when the soap is used and compressed, it wants to drain excess water out of the hole. Otherwise they stay in place, drain well and wipe off easily. The colors are beautiful too.

We bought these for a temporary stay in St. Jude's. There was no space for soap in the bathtubs and sinks so this is very convenient. They held the soap in place and allowed it to drain without forming a slimy coating on the underside. The ones we have don't have suction so they're easy to move around but can't be knocked off as they're made of silicone and tend to stick to the surface enough to not move. They are also easy to pack and very easy to travel with. . We will also use them at home.

I needed a soap dish that would automatically drain excess water into the sink instead of a soap dish that leaves puddles underneath. Well it worked! It fits any soap size and hasn't given us any major problems so far. It is also very easy to clean if there is soap residue. We rinse it under warm/hot water and remove the residue with our fingers.
