I'm so happy I took a chance on them. In my opinion the quality is a fraction of the price compared to Safari tools. You will also get more animals and water balloons. I'm very glad I tried them before spending money on more expensive ones. Animals and colors are exactly what you get as pictured and I believe other brands are not. what you see is what you get

As you can see at Endless Energy Kids, these water beads are great fun for a 4 year old. We needed a quiet activity inside so we made a video on how to build a homemade beach to play with for our channel and it was a hit with a 4 year old! I'm terribly bad at reading instructions to the last second, so it might be nice to note that water balloons take hours to expand in water! It's not a problem, it's just good to know in advance so you can plan!

Complete rubbish. The balls were tiny even after sitting in the water all day. We let them sit until day two hoping they just took longer than usual to become fully hydrated and they actually shrank! We bought 7 bags to fill a small pool and they didn't even fill half a Rubbermaid bag. They also fall apart with every touch. We already had water balloons. Although they are extremely durable and absorb water well, they feel odd. They're smooth and round BUT they almost feel like they have old-school hair gel on them. I felt like they were covered in a thin layer of Rave hair gel. My son didn't want to play with them as he didn't like the feel of the gel/slime covering them. This is very cool! I've never seen them, but I heard about them from my three year old when I played with them in kindergarten. I got them for my birthday and they are very cute. To be honest I was just looking for something that looked good and was cheaper than marble and aquarium pebbles to fill in some bathroom accessories.
