Hang this on the ceiling in my garage. The garage door mechanism is attached to a bolt, so I knew it wouldn't be hard to find. However, it comes without lag screws in which to do just that. After watching a YouTube video I had to go to Ace Hardware to make sure I was doing everything right. I could only use 2 screws in the rack because the ceiling mount has 4 holes like clock, 12, 3, 6 and 9. I was able to rack them in at 12 and 6 but the base was too wide to get 3 holes and 9 in there. This fan is great. I installed it in my two car garage. I added some 2x6s in the attic between the trusses and bought screws to attach the base. As mentioned, some of the moldings aren't perfect, but when they're on the ceiling, they're not visible. Once upstairs I bought a 3 foot ceiling fan and attached the included fan pull handle.
