Aleene's 26425 Tacky Glue, 4 FL OZ, Multicolor Review

I used glue to reattach some loose illustration pages in an old book and it worked really well and I don't have to worry about it discolouring the paper . Slightly squeezed out on the cardboard and applied a thin bead with the edge of a screwdriver. It worked very well and I avoided getting too much glue on the side. Great product and very versatile I'm sure.

I prefer the old version of this product. (This was changed in 2017) This new formula smudges on my hands and is difficult to remove. it also dries shinier than the old acid-free glue. The new formula is beige when wet and dries to a glossy, transparent finish. still sticky but more difficult to work with and I don't know if I can dilute it with water like I could with any other formula. I used gallons of old stuff but now I'm looking for something better.

When it comes to Aleene's I feel like you are guaranteed excellent quality. I have used many Ameene products in the past and they really clean. Since I'm making thin cuts on paper, I have to use a small brush to make sure I have the right amount for small spaces. The acid free quality is great as many projects like mine call for acid free paper and this glue only adds to the versatility. I'm so glad I found it.
