Paired with ASUS RT-N66U - great!

Ever since I got it, I've been trying to increase the range of my RT-N66U "Dark Knight" -- I need to stream from one part of my house to another where I have a Vizio TV we like to stream in HD. I tried: 1. ANTENNA POWERED 9dbi Amped.2. 3 directional antennas ASUS WL-ANT-1573. Hawking range extenders, and none of them worked hard enough to boost the signal for anything to be seen, or in the case of the range extender, smooth enough that the wireless devices in the house didn't go haywire…

It really works on my Verizon Actiontec M1424WR

I have a Verizon Actiontec m1424wr router. I only had 1 out of 5 bars from my living room to my bedroom and sometimes there was no reception. It's about 50 feet from the same wall as my stove and refrigerator, linen closet, closet, two bathrooms, and bedroom. I read reviews and forums about the effectiveness of the antenna. Reviews/forums were mixed. I decided to shoot. And I'm glad I did. Now I get 2, 3 and sometimes 4 bars and no missing signals. I wanted to try a powerline adapter but that's

Compared to the supplied adapter, the difference is small.

I bought an Alfa .036NA wireless adapter and it came with a 5dB antenna and they said it was an upgradeable antenna for the adapter I bought but when I put it on connected the adapter, there was no change. It's really just about the signal strength or something. Overall I think this is either a broken or faulty product, or it's a scam and a waste of money as it doesn't do anything better than a 5dB antenna.

Signal strength helps a little but not call quality

There are 2 reasons why I have a bad WiFi connection:. signal strength. Connection Quality After I replaced the standard small 3dBi antenna with this 9dBi Alpha, the signal strength improved very slightly, from about 30% to 40%. But the connection quality was still poor, resulting in very intermittent internet connections. If your internet connection seems fine one minute and drops out the next, you know you're having connection quality issues, not signal strength issues. The software that came

BIG wifi antenna! The reception has greatly improved!

I bought this antenna to improve the wireless performance of my other desktop PC which is across the house where I am not getting a good connection to my existing 3dBi antenna on my Ralink Wi-Fi adapter. The signal level improved greatly when I connected this higher gain Alfa 9dBi antenna (tried it on my WiFi adapter AND my wireless router with adapter) and also ran a link speed test on the CNET site where I got a noted an improvement of 40%. at speed! As an additional test, I wanted to see how

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Expandable

I have ordered two Alfa antennas and the Wifi-Analytics Amped Wireless Apps from the Google Playstore used Make 15 measurements before and after updating the antenna, take the "average" signal level, the gain is phenomenal: an improvement of 10dB. A 3dB gain equals a doubling of the amplitude of the signal, so at 9dB my signals are 8 times stronger. The length of the antenna likely contributes to this gain, since standard antennas are short and router signals get blocked by things on my desk…

  • Looking forward to it

Requires Viagra best in network products

Easy to install and well tested. It improves the Wi-Fi signal, not much but it improves. I did a signal test on my iPad with the original antenna and this amplifier, not as strong as I was hoping at 9dB but better than the original. The biggest problem is that the elbow joint is not strong enough to hold the antenna in any position other than vertical. If you just want it to go straight up and down it will stand still, if they need maneuvering at all it will fall. It's omnidirectional, so…

Long but hopefully helpful review.

This is a review that I can't seem to post. The point is I have a good piece of data and another piece of data that I've been observing closely and couldn't measure. So. I bought these antennas to try and increase the range of my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for use in my garage which is separate from my house. It's really, really, at the very edge of usable range where my wireless router is located. Before I bought it and installed it on my router, the speed was slow and the signal often dropped…
