Excellent meat tenderizer. The weight is great. It feels great in hand. I wash by hand. Do not use a dishwasher. Treat it like your knives. More than heavy enough to make the meat thinner and more tender. Shop healthy.

What I like most about this product is that the weight seems perfect for rocking. I have another one that feels like a sledgehammer. The weight distribution is perfect, the product is of very good quality, I am satisfied with this purchase.

Overall a very good product. Is this stainless steel. Strong. Difficult. But unfortunately it was false advertising. The ad featured a meat tenderizer with spikes on both sides. The product I received had spikes on one side and was flat on the other. I hate false advertising.

This turned out to be a great little kitchen tool for a lot of things other than tenderizing meat. I bake a lot and often use this to break down different types of networks. Love the size and weight as I have arthritis in my hands and wrists and was very happy to see it wasn't too bulky for me.

I bought another version and it was a disappointment. It has a flat side (best for flattening chicken and other meats) and a tender side that will probably work pretty well. (I don't use it like that yet anyway) It's a decent weight, which is very important. Works better than my little iron skillet! (but that's fine too). The handle is very beautiful. I bought this to batter pork chops for breading and frying. It is very important that they are all the same thickness for even cooking. Other options with small blades that penetrate the meat are probably good for direct tenderizing but don't help reduce thickness, which was the second feature I needed.
