Description of Premium Alkaline Buffer: 1.2 kg / 2.6 lbs - Optimize pH Balance Effortlessly

RAISES PH: Alkaline Buffer is a non-phosphate buffer to raise pH and alkalinity (KH). If looking to target a specific pH, use with Seachem’s Acid Buffer. PLANTED AQUARIUM: These buffers are designed for the planted aquarium or for very hard water where phosphate buffers may pose an algae or cloudiness problem. SAFE: Seachem’s Alkaline Buffer is gentle, safe, and enhances the freshwater environment. USE: To adjust pH gradually, use Alkaline Buffer along with Seachem’s Acid Buffer. When using together to target a specific pH, utilize the suggested ratio chart. DIRECTIONS: To increase pH, use 1 teaspoon (6 g) for every 80 L (20 US gallons) daily until desired pH is reached (this dose raises alkalinity by about 1 meq/L (2.8 dKH)).

Works well, very strong.

I probably didn't need that much right away, but I'll never have to buy more. Such a small amount will change your pH, so be careful.

Pros
  • USAGE: Use alkaline buffer together with acidic Seachem buffer for gradual pH adjustment. When used together, use the recommended ratio chart to achieve a specific pH.
Cons
  • Crumpled

He does what he has to do.

available I use this in conjunction with injecting CO2 into plant tanks to keep KH around 6 and CO2 between 25-30ppm. I have to dose 1/2 teaspoon in a 36 gallon bow every other day but it helps.

Pros
  • INSTRUCTIONS: To raise pH, use 1 teaspoon (6 g) per 80 L (20 US gal) per day until desired pH is reached (this dose will increase alkalinity by approximately 1 mEq/L (2.8 dKH)). ).
Cons
  • update

My issue was resolved as quickly as possible within two days as indicated. Have Acid Buffer to counteract PH but in some cases this hasn't been a problem. Have one just in case, and depending on how it's going to be used, it's worth having both.

Pros
  • INCREASES PH: Alkaline Buffer is a phosphate-free buffer designed to increase pH and alkalinity (KH). If you want to achieve a specific pH, use Seachem's Acid Buffer.
Cons
  • Weight

Works perfectly. Follow the dosage instructions carefully.

Works great. Follow the dosage instructions carefully. Works very well with an alkaline buffer to soften/buffer the pH right where YOU want it. If you don't like this product, it's probably user error. My plants and fish thrive in my tropical freshwater tank.

Pros
  • PLANT AQUARIUM: These buffers are designed for aquariums with plants or very hard water where phosphate buffers can cause algae or turbidity problems.
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Saves time between water changes

You'll definitely have time between water changes since your pH won't drop into the mud after a few feedings. My best advice is that a little makes a big difference. The recommended dose isn't really needed and is a little overkill as a little goes a long way. I put 3 teaspoons in a 125 gallon tank and I'm constantly buffering at 7.7 PH. I do weekly water changes and feed generously and have never had a problem.

Pros
  • SAFETY: Seachem Alkaline Buffer is mild, safe and improves the freshwater environment.
Cons
  • unreliable
