Allen Edmonds Basic Dress Black Men's Accessories ~ Belts Review

Allen Edmonds makes a great belt but the picture on the web shows the chili color is a lot lighter than what you actually see do see.

Looks great when finished, very solid fit, good proportions and color coordinated with shoes. Unfortunately the quality doesn't last. The finish on mine cracked quickly and it doesn't look like a highway to polish like new. I am a long time customer of AE and will continue to buy their shoes. but not their belts.

AE is known for the high quality of their shoes and I think their belts live up to that quality. I have shoes of the same color so I needed something of the same color and nothing came close in the stores. It's definitely more than what I spent on the belt, but I'm very happy with it. The leather and color match the AE shoes perfectly.

The belt fit as expected and initially appeared to be of good quality however within a month the surface began to wear and tear. Seems to be very poor quality for a $100+ belt, consistent with normal department store belts at half the price. Unfortunately, this is the only belt that matches the color of my AE shoes, otherwise I would have worn something else. Overall this is quite disappointing as I find AE shoes to be worth the price but their straps don't seem to fall into the same category…
