An indispensable thing for a BMW with your own hands

If you have a BMW (I have an e46) and you do any work on the engine in order not to deal with the high repair costs due to theft, then this product is MANDATORY . I can't stress this enough. There are ways to use a screwdriver and stick it in there to remove the clutch fan but trust me when I tell you it will greatly improve your quality of life by purchasing this product. The cost is not unreasonable and the benefits are more than worth it.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Modernity

The metal is brittle and needs modification to work with the e46.

The rod that is supposed to secure the nuts needs to be modified for it to work. The holes are not cut the right distance to fit the pulley nuts and I had to put them in a grinder to trim off excess to get the right fit. Once I've managed to mount it, the holder is made of steel so thin it will buckle under pressure. This is a fairly cheap product.

Quality Fluids & Maintenance Tools

These quality tools are sleek, beautifully chrome plated and come in a beautiful vinyl storage case. I decided to hang them on a pegboard so the hole at the end of the wrench is good. The only thing I can say is that a slight bend in the middle of the water pump pulley bracket would have made it easier to use as I was struggling to get a good water pump angle on top of my '98 M3. The tool pressed against the pulley and hit the thermostat housing so I couldn't get a good grip on the bolts on the

Professional tools that should last a lifetime

I was trying to remove the fan clutch from my BMW but despite encouraging videos on the U-tube it just wouldn't budge. After wasting several hours in frustration, I gave up and researched the tools. These looked the most significant. The order arrived quickly and these are powerful professional tools with beautiful finishes. I'll probably only use them once, but that was the only way to remove that clutch. If you've never had a way out, get ready for a serious fight. I doubt it can be removed…

1996 BMW 328I Water Pump Replacement

Ordered a tool kit to remove the fan clutch from a 1996 328I, once I had the belts removed I replaced the water pump with one with a broom impeller, all belts. Hoses, 2 intermediate bearings and tensioners, thermostat housing with aluminum replacement. and thermostat, all from Revain. Free shipping! This tool set works great, very high quality chrome tools. Anyone with good mechanical skills can do this, I've saved hundreds of dollars, many of which are on YouTube with step-by-step…

If it doesn't fit, turn the pump

If the key holder doesn't fit your pulley, you may need to turn the water pump. My water pump pulley bolts aren't in a perfect square - they're something like X's on their side. The key didn't fit at first, but after turning the pump it fitted fine. I had disconnected the thermostat hoses (it's always recommended to replace them when you build a pump) so it was easy to get the holder and wrench in there. My nut was rusty so I carefully fired the PB blaster. After soaking for about 15 minutes, a

Strong wrench for fan nuts.

A fan clutch nut was removed from my BMW 540i E39. Although the water pump pulley bolts on my machine are recessed about 1/2 inch and it is difficult for the meter bracket to fully engage. I managed to insert a bolt into the hole and only a hair remained on the second bolt. The nut broke off. simple, so it worked. Some people have modified the backstop to hold the 2 screws better and more securely. It should be like this from the factory. Feels like high quality steel. One star because I…

Great tools, very professional workmanship.

Great tools, the finish looks very professional. Made working in my BMW very easy. Removing the fan was something I always dreaded and avoided because I had no idea how to go about the job. I was afraid of ruining the cooling fins, which look so flimsy that there isn't much room to squeeze any standard tools in there. I can't remember how I managed to replace the heatsink on my 94 740i years ago without removing the fan. This time I grabbed the fan to access the water pump on my 2004 BMW 330CI.

Pros
  • Cool product

  • Something different
