Clear Cast (32 oz): Ultra-clear, multi-purpose casting resin. Review

this was my second order. The first order were 8 ounce bottles which I really liked. This second order were 16 ounce bottles. I've used them for 3 different glasses and after carefully measuring the mixture as I poured it into my mugs it felt "heavy" and not runny. On my first order I hit it with a food pistol to get it to heat up a little. When my cup cured it was full of fish eye dimples and not smooth at all. Does anyone else have this problem? I have a feeling it was a bad batch.

I have to admit I'm new to resin casting, I've only been doing it a few months but this material was almost impossible to work with. I used half a bottle just to experiment to try and get the mixture to clear and go supernova with an exothermic reaction that caused the entire cast to set in less than 5 minutes. It is one of the biggest players in the world of epoxy resins. Amazing Clear Cast (ACC) is their workhorse. I use it for its ability to self-level in glass design and coating. Used this resin for the first time today. I accidentally bought it thinking I was ordering an Easy Cast. This resin was awesome! I used it for a set of dominoes. It was a two color fill that required waiting for the second color to fill. After about three hours of waiting, the first filling is already frozen, not sticky, since it is suggested to fill in the second layer. I filled in the second layer. Product is great - my only issue is how the resin was shipped. It was sent in a bubble envelope when it should have been sent in a box. Resin is a dangerous chemical if misused, especially when it's split in two and packaged that way! I was concerned at first when I saw there was a water stain on the envelope, thinking the bottles inside were leaking. As you can imagine, a dangerous chemical leak is not a good thing!
