Dodge 9.25 Tail Tool

Worked on my Dodge Dakota with a 9.25 rear end. There were issues with this tool not having a stopper on the end so it was painful to slide past the bearing adjuster.

  • replacement for Miller C-4164.

Inexpensive and effective

Works great. Reached the end of the axle tubes so that was nice. Hopefully I won't need it for a while, but it was the only way to get the job done. Saved a ton because no mechanic rebuilt my rear differential on my 2010 Ram 1500.

Works well for tire and wheel tools

This is a simple but essential tool. I used it on a 2002 Jeep Liberty with an 8.25 rear diff. It would be nice if the weld nut had a little more taper to make it easier to insert into the regulator. It seems a little pricey for a tool I intend to only use once, but it's still worth the money.

Great economical tool

I need this tool when rebuilding of a 9-1/4 rear differential on a Ram 1500. I was able to tighten the bearing adjusters to 150 ft-lbs. no problem. If you do a lot of work with this differential, two of these would be ideal so you don't have to move the tool from side to side. I had to readjust the adjusters several times to get the perfect preload and play.
