Description of ๐Ÿ“ธ ALZO Diffusion Fabric Nylon Silk White Light Modifier, 1 Yard x 60 Inches, Unfinished Edges, Precision-Cut for Photography, Softbox, and Light Tents

1 yard of pre-cut DYI diffusion fabric; IMPORTANT: selecting a quantity higher than 1 will get you multiple 1-YARD PRE-CUT pieces; if you need longer continuous fabric in one piece, search for ALZO Diffusion Fabric by the Yard. Non-yellowing white translucent silk-like diffusion textile; inexpensive light modifier. Light reduction is about 1.5 f-stops. Fabric is 60 inches wide and 36 inches long and it is not finished on all 4 sides. Also available as pre-cut 2 yard and longer length by the yard; we use this fabric for our softboxes, tents and diffusion panels.

Exactly what I needed!

This is a great piece of fabric. It's nothing fancy, but it's perfect for getting the diffused light I need at a really cheap price.

Just the right size to close the window.

When I take a picture in front of a window, I stick it on the window. It diffuses the sunlight and helps prevent glare. Good for product photography.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Lets in just the right amount of light

Lets in the right amount of light. I had to sew it up but it was heavy enough to work well on the machine. Completely satisfied with these two pieces of fabric.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Price that beats the piggy bank

Did the job for lighting controls and modifiers

I used it to diffuse light from an LED strip to illuminate a stained glass window. One thickness of material still showed individual lights behind the glass, but two layers gave the glass an even glow and was quite bright.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Concise instructions

But just what I needed. .

Exactly what you need, but. I know it was nylon but the melting point was very low. I've burned it many times trying to seal the edges. A note: I ordered two meters. I did NOT receive one large piece of fabric, but two separate yards.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • High price

Fantastic diffusion material!

I use it on my homemade video softbox. It puts out just the right amount of soft light for my 4x800 lumen lamp. This also works great for still images. With a decent price and the amazing results this product delivers, I plan on buying more when I add or upgrade my lighting system.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great cheap way to diffuse LED strips

I cut this and diagonally covered the LED strips that surround my room. They stick perfectly to walls and ceilings just with tape, although clear tape would probably look better. They perfectly diffuse the light and make them more bearable. If you can't afford strip light diffusers, this is a great alternative.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Clarity

I used this with [Grafix Clear Craft Plastic .007 12" x 12" thick, pack of 25] to make diffuser inserts for our new landscape lights. The light was piercingly bright and we wanted to try and fix that. I was hoping for a generic solution, but this worked just as well. I took this fabric, spray glued it to the plastic and cut the inserts to the desired size. They worked great! As they will be outdoors I hope the plastic (on the outside) protects the fabric enough that we don't have to replaceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Available in white only

Good price but not the best diffusion material.

I'm a big fan of mesh and back diffusers and was excited to see a great DIY fabric. I bought a 1 yard x 60 inch sheet. The quality isn't the best - compared to other diffusion sheets and softbox canvases (from Fotodiox, Lastolite and other small companies) the diffusion isn't the best. I found them to be much more transparent (you can clearly see what's on the other side) rather than diffusing it further like others do. For example, if I have an LED panel behind a Fotodiox diffuser, it looksโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Zero
