Disappointing Plastic Router Bit

Through trial and error, I found that this router bit is not suitable for heavy-duty use on plastic. Despite the Spektra coating, I experienced a lot of chipping and dulling.

Pros
  • The Spektra coating looks cool.
Cons
  • Not durable for heavy-duty use.

Premium Bits: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

These 51410 bits provide the cleanest cut I have ever seen on the acrylic and plexiglass I cut. Use a home system with a Chinese machine so there is no fog and smaller waves. You want all the benefits you can get.

Pros
  • (B) Cut Height: 1/2
Cons
  • Some Errors

Ideal for acrylic

This attachment is great for cutting acrylic and works where others won't. Chip evacuation with an active vacuum is essential for a good, clean edge and a successful cut. Freezing the part before cutting also helps, but isn't necessary for very shallow cuts.

Pros
  • Direction: up
Cons
  • Something different
