📺 Enhanced Performance with Amazing Lamps XL-5200 / XL5200 Replacement Lamp for Sony Televisions Review

The lamp has been working fine for just over a month and today the screen suddenly dimmed dramatically. Then the TV started to turn off, presumably due to a bad contact in the lamp. I haven't yet recycled the old lightbulb that replaced this one, so I reinstalled the old lightbulb and the TV works fine - so the problem is clearly with that lightbulb, not the TV.

Easy to install and works fairly well. Doesn't seem as bright as the last two I've had - the original and then another replacement I bought from another site. I'm interested in how long this lasts. I'm glad I got the 3 year warranty just in case. Update: This paragraph sucks. It got dark very quickly. I do NOT recommend. Absolute waste of money!

The lamp worked perfectly for 2 weeks. Then in week 3 it started turning off for 1-3 minutes and then turning back on when you turn on the TV. Then in week 3-4 the lamp stopped working. I read some other reviews saying this happened to them but thought it must be an accident. As a result I am very disappointed and have to order the lamp/bulb recommended by the manufacturer.
