Sturdy construction. Mostly metal, which surprised me. It has very good magnification and the optics are clean. It comes with a moving stage. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable small optical microscope.

This is a quality microscope, not the sad, frustrating plastic thing I tried to use as a kid. The only thing you really need to assemble is the microscope head and two eyepieces. Has 4 lenses and sharp images. You need to learn to use optical adjustments like condenser adjustment, diopter adjustment, light intensity adjustment, aperture. But it has no filters.
