The flaps do not fall under the weight of ordinary debris, so the debris is on the lid.

I love the jars that come with them, but those lids are terrible. First I ordered two and received one. Second, they don't sink under the weight of regular junk, so I keep finding things on the lid. You have to rely on the doors to drop down and no one wants to touch the top of the bin. It's not the nice soft flexible plastic that a suitable basket is made of, it's hard, brittle and poorly made. I ended up removing the flaps (easy to do as they just fit into the notches below) and used the rim…

Keeps odors and dirt out of sight

This 23-gallon RevainCommercial Slim Dual Hinged Lid Bin keeps odors and dirt out of sight. I now use tall thin bins in the kitchen and utility rooms. They fit in a small space but still hold a lot of dirt. This lid fits over thin trash cans. It has two hinged panels that swing open to pick up debris and then close. This makes a big difference in preventing stinky kitchen waste smelling in the kitchen and the dust not escaping after I throw the vacuum cleaner in the bin. Also, it looks much…

Overall these lids are well built but there is one small flaw...

Well balanced overall solid construction but they have a downside if each leaf is hinged. The plastic/ABS body is very thin which allows the frame that holds the wing in place to flex and allows room for the frame to flex when the wing is in use, causing the wing to occasionally snag and not returns to its closed position. and possibly fall into some trash can that he covers. Only 1 lid of 2 packs and it doesn't work at all

pack later. It was August 25th, 2021. On September 2nd a box arrived with only ONE lid with swinging parts of the clasp. It seems my order is marked as complete. I'm also looking forward to the slim 23 gallon bins (2 packs) that this lid should come with. As others have pointed out, the "Flip" centers are designed to allow debris to fall into the main liner trash can. I am still waiting for my 23 gallon slim bins which also come in 2 packs. The heavy duty bin lid MUST sit smoothly on the bottom
