The square ice cubes these molds produce are perfect for wide mouth water bottles. I like them better than small ice cubes or crushed ice because I can mix water with electrolytes to stay hydrated during and after a workout. Also, the Borg Cube! (If you get it, then you get it.)

A set of two to four cubes, each one fits perfectly in the freezer. I use filtered water to avoid the white residue which in my experience usually ruins silicone ice cubes resulting in crystal clear ice cubes for my smoothies lol. I hope these last and will continue to exist.

I have no idea why, but for some reason the cubes freeze in this bowl for a very long time. I have round giant dice trays and other larger square dice trays that double the capacity of this tray. It's almost like being insulated from the cold of a freezer. The cubes are perfect, but they last forever.

Huge ice cubes are super cool. Now here's how you can get them from the disk compartment: keep fighting until they've finally melted enough to be released. This shouldn't take longer than ten minutes. It really is a struggle. But large cubes are great for making an inverted dry shake. Just take out a cube. For me it's love/hate.

I used a harder plastic ice maker but getting the cubes from a cold, inflexible container eventually broke some cubes. These silicone cube makers fix that problem and now the ice comes out without too much trouble and I don't have to partially defrost to get them out. They make VERY large ice cubes. The container is quite soft so you have to hold it by the sides to fill it and then carefully place it in the freezer. Worse, the frozen cubes will stick to the silicone. Which makes the removal process harder than it needs to be - you have to peel, squeeze, and squeeze all at the same time - and overall pretty unsatisfying.
