🥄 American Metalcraft MCL150 1.5-Cup Stainless Steel Measuring Cup Review

The name speaks for itself. Somehow not exactly! I would return it if I didn't use it to measure dry dog food. I just needed a rough estimate. I know I'm on the right track when I fill it in about ⅜ inch from the top. Unacceptable to measure something when it matters.

I've been wanting to buy a feeding spoon for a few months and I use my kitchen measuring sticks to feed my puppies. i like the pen Great design made of stainless steel. And 1.5 cups is perfect for any meal. I wish I had bought it a year ago when I rescued her. If you debate, just do it.

I bought this to measure dog food. One of my dogs has food allergies so I wanted to make sure I had a different spoon for him than what I use for non-allergic dogs as they eat different foods. For the same reason, I also wanted to make sure it was hygienic and easy to clean. That fits the bill perfectly!

I've tried others and they end up rusting inside. So far this one is solid and great. The long handle makes it easy to use, the measurements are accurate and easy to read. I recommend this product.

1-1/2 cup arrived crumpled. Sent in a pimply envelope. The envelope was crumpled but not badly damaged. The remaining items inside were not damaged. Therefore, it is not clear if it was damaged before or during shipment. Apart from the dent, it looks well made. The handle is well welded. The length and width of the handle ensure a good balance. When used properly, it feels quite sturdy and thick and should last a long time.

I got this so I can measure out 1.5 cups of food for my dog twice a day without multiple cups or guesswork. (We walk 3 miles a day but she's a bit chubby so far. :)) Anyway, it's sturdy, well made and the handle allows me to hang it on the cupboard handle where I keep her food. I love it and am very glad I made the purchase. The dog is less impressed. She would prefer that we continue to guess that there is too much food for each meal.

Concerned that our dog wouldn't be getting a consistent amount of food every time our kids fed our dog, we wanted 1 measuring cup so our kids could easily and easily measure out the right portion size of each meal. Our dog has allergies so we wanted a stainless steel mug. My husband measured 1 1/2 cups in our regular measuring cups and found them to be on par with this measuring cup. The handle is plain metal and I would have preferred a solid rubber grip so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
