Suitable for FJ Cruiser in the exterior accessories

Expensive but good strong lock. This model fits my FJ Cruiser with 2x2" inner diameter and 2.5" outer diameter. I didn't know which one to get, but this one fits perfectly.

Great solution

Well built, easy to use. Hope this is never tested. But it gives us a lot of confidence that our hitch will still be there if we leave it unattended.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Damaged

AMPLocks is the way to go!

Just like the AMPLOCK van/caravan lock, I feel safe leaving my vehicles unattended. To be honest, this AMPLock makes me feel safer leaving the hitch in my car than storing the hitch in the trunk of our trailer when traveling.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Peace of mind on the hitch Accessory

Couldn't figure out how to open with the key for 5 minutes. There is definitely no lockpicking and figuring out how to open it. The construction feels solid with a comfortable weight. A bit big but if you have an expensive hitch and don't want to take it off all the time. It will give you peace of mind

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great lock, well made.

Incredible zip-up jumpsuit. I knew this would lead to a big lock, but it was even harder than I thought. Closing and opening was very easy and you can tell that this lock is well made. I was hesitant to spend $100 just for a lock, but wanted as much security as possible for my B&W Tow & Stow hitch.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Insecure

I love durable hitch locks

I hope this lock will deter thieves from stealing my Gen Y aluminum trailer and hitch. I like the strong, thick rubber keycap. He also has a set of keys that makes picking the lock very difficult. Also, I have some confidence that it will resist linking and forced removal. I have had the lock for over a year now and have bought my second AMPLock.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not the best

I HATE picking this lock

I can spend 30 minutes shaking, twisting, twisting, swearing, coaxing and coaxing into opening the key , and IT WILL NOT SWITCH OFF. And then, like magic, without doing anything else, which I haven't tried several times in the last half hour, it opens. Sometimes it works the first time, although not very often. The good news is that no one is going to vote for him any time soon. Last trip for this lock this weekend, and then I'm throwing it away. Good redemption for such an expensive lock.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Legacy model

May get in the way of your safety chains

However, be aware that this locking pin is much larger on the locking side, so you may not have enough space for your safety chains. Figuring out how to turn the key is always a mystery. You don't have that warm, fluffy feeling of being locked away. In other words, when you turn the key, you don't feel that the lock is closed. You must also use a cotter pin for safety reasons. It also takes up space and can interfere with your security chains. What good is an expensive locking pin if you have…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Negative gift
