These calipers are great after about an hour break in period. When I first received the item, the sag is about 0.0005. I use the term "slack" because I don't know the correct term, but I basically discovered this while zeroing (and zeroing) the caliper under normal effort. I was then able to press hard and get the caliper to read -0.0005. After a day or so of use, however, that "sag" is more or less gone, and it seems to perform on par with the $100 caliper I use at work. In short I really like

Very interesting tool. My husband showed me all the amazing details of this work of art. It's fairly durable, made of stainless steel and has no plastic parts. Glides smoothly and provides detailed measurements on the LCD screen. We have measured several items and it is very accurate. So amazing that the mouthpiece opens to the width of the object being measured. And at the same time, a small ruler appears at the bottom, which has exactly the same measure! In short: Does what it's supposed to do, but looks like shit from the factory██. Thoughts: 😊 Does what it's supposed to. The precision seems to be too high for my use case, a simple hobbyist. worthy things QOL.🤨 Man it has so many scuffs and dents straight from the factory.
