That I can get filters for the old water treatment plant.

The filter fits and works perfectly. That's all I can hope for. The filtered gallon capacity is higher than other filters so I don't have to replace it as often.

When I later fill the pitcher to drink, the water tastes awful.

Filtered water tastes terrible. It feels like the chlorine is still coming through. If I turn on the faucet for 5 minutes, the taste gets better. When I later fill the pitcher to drink, the water tastes awful.

Pros
  • Water filtration and softening
Cons
  • Damaged

Fits but doesn't work well. I will not buy it again.

***UPDATE*** I've been using this filter for 4 months now and I can already taste the chlorine. Chlorine is one of the easiest things to remove from water. So I had to use 3 of these filters a year while the Amway filter lasted a full year. For this reason I downgraded my stars from 3 to 1. I would advise you NOT to buy this filter! (End of update) Fits, works, but no real details. All statements made in this review are correct as of 07/28/2016. I've been using this filter for about 2 weeks…
