The stopper is plastic, not full glass as the description suggests. I am sending it back as it was not as described. I bought it to store olive oil which needs to be stored in an airtight container. Upon receipt, the pot was filled with water and the cork put in, and then turned upside down and the water flowed out, proving that it was leaking. Although made in the USA, the quality of the glass and construction was poor. I would not recommend this item.
