Using this plate on the original DJI Ronin S. Works great. I have an L-shaped plate on the GH5 that allows me to turn the camera on and off without upsetting the balance. I can also just slide the camera to the left to get the memory cards out. You don't have to take off the camera.

Unlike DJI pads, this pad can actually be used on a Manfrotto tripod. Also, the Arca Swiss quick release works with my Peak Design plates as well as the Tilta cage I use on the FX3 (which has Arca built in). I use it on the original Ronin-S but it also works with RS series gimbals and has small grooves on the bottom to adjust those gimbals.

I bought this instead of the others because it claimed to fit both DJI and Zhiyun. But this one doesn't fit any company. it just doesn't work for jiyoon. When fully locked, it still slides back and forth EASILY. On DJI, the plate works but is difficult to put on and take off (too tight). Finally, not all Arca-Swiss records work well. If you don't have one that fits snugly in the grooves it will wobble and not at all reassuring when you're hanging a really expensive rig on a hanger.

This plate is much stronger than the standard plate (RS2) and has slightly more height and weight, making it more durable in every way. has small prongs that allow you to adjust the position like a standard dji. Another difference I noticed was that you can unload the plate forwards or backwards, the latch doesn't work, you have to make sure it's always tight. Quickly load the camera from the top, not the side. The processing quality is first class and makes a very solid impression.
