We got one as a gift and it's AMAZING soft.... We then tried to order the same one to give to another child and when it arrived I knew straight away it wasn't the same (although it should have been). I agree with other reviews: something is wrong. Ours was amazing, the one I got was different (very rough).

If you like a really cute SOFT muslin blanket for your little one. this is NOT that. I bought a pink and blue poppy blanket for my newborn daughter. It was such a rough and tingly feeling. My older kids didn't even want it. We tried washing it a few times to see if it softened but it didn't.

Bought this for my 2 month old son as the bison on it matches his southwest room. This blanket is so soft and even more adorable! I like the bison on it best. The quality of this blanket for the price is just unreal. It's like my expensive boutique diapers that I've spent over $30 each on. You won't be disappointed if you buy this!

We love angels love bamboo diapers and we have a lot of them. However, this poppy pattern resembles raw burlap. It is terribly rough and does not soften despite repeated washing. The last few patterns are a lot softer, but still not as soft as a few years ago when we first started buying them. This poppy pattern is useless and almost painfully rough.

I first bought one of these blankets from TJ Maxx and it was the softest swaddle blanket we've ever had, way softer than the trendy Aden and Anais blankets. I was so excited to see them on Amazon and in such adorable new prints - I've ordered 2 more and they are just as adorable in life as they are in the pictures. I wash mine with diapers of the same color and have had no issues with fading or tearing. They are as soft and light as the day we received them! Cannot recommend this brand enough.
