I have 2 wireless routers. Linksys WRT54GS and DLINK. Antenna does not connect to WRT54GS. Wrong size. The adapters were not shipped with the order. Tried them on my DLINK. They matched, but the signal range was worse than the original.

I tested the antennas using a GL.iNet GL-AR300M16-Ext travel router powered by a portable phone charger. Using Wifi Analyzer, the closest router was 50 feet away at -63 dBm and the farthest one was 2500 feet away at -101 dBm. I assume the GPS was far away last time. In any case, it's good that the antennas are working.

My stock Asus antennas came off after my chubby cat slept on them. Strange right? So when I mounted the router on the wall away from the lazy, destructive cats, I replaced the antennas with these and it works great with increased signal gain.

These antennas are most useful for people who are rarely out of range of their router. If you're using a Wi-Fi analyzer, you need a reading below 70 dBm to keep your wireless network stable. I had around 68-73 dBm at my desk. I added 3 of these to my AC1900 router and now I'm getting around 63-68dBm. Clash of Clans no longer drops packs and requires constant phone restarts!

The male and female G6 coax cable adapters used allow the XM antenna to be extended approximately 75 feet over the length of the factory antenna cable. An adapter connects to the receiver at one end of the F-connector coax cable, and the F-connector adapter connects to the factory XM antenna cable at the other end of the coax cable. Good reception from about 100 feet. Ideal for F connectors on the cable.

Simple, sure - even if you've never been exposed to these devices. Otherwise, forget the screwdriver - this installation is quick and really requires no tools.

The seller's picture shows an RP-SMA connector but I received a standard male connector. I needed it without a pin as the photo of the part was visible from the seller and written in the insert.
