A (removable) toy bell on the shoulder guard is not safe for small parrots. My sun parrot's tongue got stuck in the bell and cut it :( Please amend your listing to state that the toy provided is not suitable for small parrots or even cockatiels.

Bought this to discourage our little groom from chewing on my husband's shirts. He loves to sit birds on his shoulder, but killing them with his beak and loving to chew won't work for your clothes. This saves you the hassle of changing clothes, just put them on and voila, done.

This is really made for medium to large sized birds because the fabric is a bit slippery and my budgie can hang on to it. However, it easily slips over your shoulders and has a nice Velcro closure. The set includes a ring with a bell and I just put a cat toy on the other side for her to chew on. When I'm in bed I mostly use this because I don't move and it protects my pillow.

My sunshine is a velcro bird that wants to be on my shoulder every minute of the day. I love having her with me until she gets bored and starts chewing on me or my clothes. I've tried wearing an oversized shirt but that doesn't do much to protect my skin from scratches and bites. That solves all my problems. It has toy hooks so she doesn't get bored and covers my clothes easily and comfortably.

That's a great idea. But my bird is very large and when it pooped it went right through the shoulder pad and landed on my clothing. Also, it didn't hold the fabric very well. If the fabric were thicker and felt like fleece where the claws go, they might be able to hold on better. Even if you have a thin neck, it won't stop a bird from scratching you. If you own a bird you know how messy it can be. Whether it's mud clinging to their legs or beak, or relentlessly shooting up from behind, it's enough to soil a shirt or top in minutes.
