Do what you want

I use this thing every day. It's seen a pretty good hit and still reads true. (I know, I checked it using a set of micrometers with the standard) only one minus. One of the arms was torn from the abuse. It was an easy fix, just tightening the screw holding it to the pole.

Pros
  • Measure
Cons
  • Not sure

Luckily, that doesn't affect me very often the way I am.

Works well according to the measurements. However, the quality check failed as there is play in the side-to-side movement resulting in the spikes not touching due to misalignment. Luckily this doesn't affect me very often as I use it to measure the thickness of brake discs, which it does well.

Pros
  • Test, measure and check
Cons
  • Very expensive

Has a good weight

More than accurate enough for the job it was designed for. It is not necessary to be more precise than a few hundredths of an inch on the rotor. If it really is that close to the minimum specs then put some new rotors on the car and move on. Holds up well. Mine is three years old now. Has a good weight, not like the $20 which is weak.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Vanishing
