My 12 year old daughter needed a white button down shirt for a band concert. She chose this shirt because of the extra frills. After reading the reviews the plus sizes seem to fit as expected and this was our experience with the 2XL shirt for 12-13 year olds. My daughter usually wears baby 12/14. The shirt has been worn to two shows and I expect it will carry us through the rest of the years. The material is thin, so have a t-shirt ready.

I have an 8 year old child of average build (slim but tall and strong but not sticky). I ordered 10-12 because their size interferes with 7/8 work. I also have a five year old. 10/12 looked like the right fit for my kindergartener (no exaggeration). The arms were too tight around the wrists and too short for my 8 year old. Other than that, it was a really really cute shirt and good material, albeit a bit see-through (but it's a white shirt after all). If it wasn't for the size it would be cute!

Based on the rating I thought it would be a lot bigger than her size. I was a bit skeptical that it might be too big. my daughter is quite thin and tall, she wears child size 5 or xs. and size 6-7 fits her perfectly. Lol they are too big.
