Reliable Quality Solar Panels

Ideal for DIY projects. I connect three cells in parallel. This gives me enough voltage and current to run my indoor solar projects under indirect sunlight, which is around 3 volts under load. I have used 16 of these solar panels and had no failures. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • So far so good

Bad quality, bad packaging, stay away.

One arrived damaged, none producing rated milliamps, in direct midday sun in southern US. Very bad quality. They were just thrown into the box, no seals, they weren't even tied together so they wouldn't hurt each other. Stay away until this manufacturer changes their minds.

This is too small for meaningful applications.

CHECK THE DESCRIPTION! They are negligible as you could put a whole pack of 10 in your mouth if you wanted to. I had to question the number of spelling mistakes and lack of a full understanding of the English language. If they haven't bothered to check the spelling on their list, it's doubtful they've checked the quality of the product as well.

Failed but others exceeded expectations

Most of these solar panels output 5.5-6V and 50-60mA in direct sunlight. I am very impressed. However, one of the panels turned out to be defective and only delivered 3V and 20mA in direct sunlight. I need 10 for my project so I need to buy more to solve this problem. I would say they are good value for money and have excellent durability. I would probably recommend it to a friend although I was unlucky.

Great upgrade for our solar patio lights

I have used these to replace worn out solar cells in our solar powered patio lights. You only charged the batteries about 50%. I replaced the 4 old solar cells in each lamp with 2 new ones and now the battery (3.2V/400mAh) is fully charged in about 5 hours. Lanterns burn all night. These new cells are about 2x wider than the old ones, but I managed to get them to work.

Great product for solar and wind power

These devices are well made and do what they promise. With a Fluke 87 in direct sunlight I read 6V out of the cell, in normal sunlight I read 5.5V. In the shade I can read 4.4V, with 6000K neon 4.4V and with a 40W Incandescent 2.5V. Note that the amount of current depends on your load, but I was able to get 60.4mA straight from direct sunlight. Bicycle). This cell drives the engine better than the old cell. The epoxy coating is a great finish. The previous solar panel fell apart due to lack of…
