My fault for not reading the description carefully. Little did I know they are rechargeable and have to be turned on with a button on the tongue. I thought they were motion activated. Unfortunately, the button isn't sewn to the tongue, so you'll need to make sure it stays tucked away in the little pocket on the tongue. He wants to sit right under the Velcro that holds the shoe in place. This makes it difficult for a small child to turn it on and off when the shoes are on, while at the same time
